DINNER SHOWS & CRUISES

Plantation House Restaurant
Plantation House Restaurant is renowned by visitors and local residents for its casual elegance and island style ambiance. Since opening in the Kapalua Resort in 1991, The Plantation House has earned a top reputation among Maui’s best restaurants for serving innovative cuisine in a picturesque setting overlooking the fairways of the award-winning Plantation Golf Course.

Lahaina Grill
We opened in 1990 as a little 55-seat bistro off Lahaina’s thoroughfare called Front Street, and almost 20 years later Lahaina Grill has garnered international-acclaim as culinary Mecca—these days, it’s sometimes difficult to book one of the restaurant’s 130 seats! Considered by many to be Maui’s prettiest, freestanding restaurant, the soft tones are accented by a gorgeous, pressed tin ceiling. The tabletops are set with fine china, flatware and crystal. The artwork hanging throughout the restaurant is by Maui’s premier colorist, Jan Kasprzycki. His big, bountiful paintings are the perfect complement to the distinctive flavors found in the food.

Wolfgang Puck's Spago
The AAA Four Diamond and Mobil Four Star Spago opened at the Four Seasons Resort Maui in 2001, teaming America’s greatest chef with the world’s finest hotel group. The Asian-inspired contemporary design is crafted with unique stone, wood, exotic sea anemone murals and custom glass that frames spectacular views of the Maui coastline and neighboring islands. The room is sophisticated, yet relaxed, with carefully selected furnishings that provide both family comfort and romantic evenings both indoors or on the exterior lanai. All this creates the perfect stage for Chef Cameron Lewark’s brilliant menu, using Hawaii’s premier produce, fish and meats, with the styling that made Spago famous. The restaurant has an intimate lounge area and bar with a private dining room for special events. There also is a separate children’s menu.

EXTREME POLITICS BEDEVILS SCIENTISTS AND POLICYMAKERS

The environmental community has long been accustomed to working on long-term problems. We project decades into the future and investigate centuries back in history. Some global issues and impacts are under discussion by thousands of scientists from virtually every nation on this planet. The scientific consensus is strong, productive and professional. The scientific method is still the backbone of science and fuels the free and open interchange of data and ideas. It is responsible, in large part, for the implementation of effective global partnerships that are our best hope for survival in a rapidly degrading ecosphere.

Unfortunately, environmental advocates have recently been disappointed by many of the things that our new president and his minions have done in response to global environmental problems. Two recent actions illustrate ...MORE.

FIGHTING FAKE NEWS

If President Elect Trump thinks he's going to just walk into the White House, sit down with his new EPA hating EPA administrator and figure out how to get rid of all those pesky environmental regulations, he's got another think coming. If he thinks repealing a few of President Obama's Executive Orders is going to stop the enormous worldwide clean renewable energy revolution then he's got much more than another think coming.

He also has facts and figures to contend with. The fact is, the years and years of hard work by renewable energy advocates, entrepreneurs, government and citizens is paying off handsomely and MORE ...

DENYING DENIERS

Climate change deniers often buttress their basic argument against climate change science by claiming that an increase in atmospheric CO2 will make Earth greener. Their reasoning revolves around the fact that plants "breathe" in CO2 and "breathe" out oxygen. In addition, the deniers theorize that more plants will remove more CO2, and pollution. This will, according to this hypothesis, reduce the effects of the existing amound, and projected growth, in these gases. In this view, the more greenhouse gases we release into the atmosphere the better. ... MORE ...-->
